Children who are challenged by skin conditions in their daily lives experienced the magic of Barretstown on Saturday 10th September and together with their families had the time of their lives.
Each year we invite 30 families who are affected by a skin condition to take part in this fun filled day.
Families travelled from all over the country, the sun shone and children and adults alike enjoyed a range of activities from arts and crafts, to archery, canoeing, horse riding while the really brave reached new heights on the high ropes course!
What is really special is the difference that one day can make to a child who has felt isolated and alone with their skin condition.
In the words of two families, “Wilson always felt that he was the only one with itchy skin. He is happy to have met other kids with the same condition. Thanks a million!”, the Okah Family
“It was fantastic. We had so much fun. We made lots of wonderful memories as a family. It was great to see the girls smile all day!”, the Lambert Family.
