Remembering Fergus Slattery, Patron of the Irish Skin Foundation

By ISF

The Irish Skin Foundation is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Fergus Slattery, Patron of the Irish Skin Foundation.

Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s finest rugby players, Fergus represented Ireland 61 times and captained his country during a distinguished international career. He was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame in 2007 in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the game.

As a Patron of the Irish Skin Foundation, Fergus was a valued supporter of our work and a generous advocate for our mission to improve the quality of life of people living with skin conditions. We are grateful for the encouragement, goodwill and support he gave to the Foundation over the years.

On behalf of our Trustees, staff and the wider Irish Skin Foundation community, we extend our sincere condolences to Fergus’s family, friends, former teammates and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We remember Fergus with great respect and gratitude and honour the legacy he leaves both on and off the field.

May he rest in peace.
